To nobody's surprise the Indianapolis Colts will release Peyton Manning after 14 seasons of success. Its the end of era Manning captivated the entire football world and it will be strange to see him in a different uniform come next fall. Manning is coming off multiple neck surgeries that put his Hall of Fame career in jeopardy. His injury forced him to miss games for the first time in his career and the Colts spiraled to a league worst 2-14 record, basically putting the writing on the wall. The Colts were now in a rebuilding stage and ready to move on from Peyton Manning. This franchise altering move will save the Colts 28 million dollars and they are expected to select Stanford QB Andrew Luck first overall in this April's draft. Today's news just comes as a reminder that pro sports is also a business and nobody is safe not even one of the greatest quarterbacks of our generation.
